ReqNest Interceptor Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

ReqNest Interceptor is a browser extension that lets the ReqNest web app (reqnest.com) send the API requests you build in ReqNest directly from your own computer. This page explains what the extension does with your data.

Summary

What the extension handles

When you click Send in ReqNest with the extension installed, the ReqNest page passes the request to the extension: the method, URL, headers and body you entered, which may include credentials such as API keys or tokens you added yourself. The extension sends that request from your computer and passes the response (status, headers and body) back to the same ReqNest page.

This data is held in memory only for as long as the request takes. The extension does not write it to disk, does not keep logs and does not keep any history. Anything ReqNest itself saves, such as your request history, is covered by ReqNest's own handling of your account data, not by the extension.

Where requests go

Requests go only to the address you typed in ReqNest. They leave from your computer over your own network connection, including any VPN you use. The extension does not attach your browser's cookies for the target website.

Which pages can use it

Only ReqNest pages can ask the extension to send requests: reqnest.com, www.reqnest.com, and localhost / 127.0.0.1 for local development. The extension ignores every other website.
